Paola Lancellotti
Paola Lancellotti has two degrees in law from France and Italy with specialization in Shipping Law and a MBA in marketing and communication.
She has spent all her working life in the maritime sector in different areas like journalism, law, insurance and re-insurance, brokerage, marketing and lobbying.
In the last 8 years she has worked as Secretary General in 2 different associations: setting up the first one and successfully developing the second one. She has also assisted in the establishment of an informal European Network of Associations linked to the activities of the European Commission, Directorate General for Transport. She has also tutored different countries (especially in the Mediterranean area) on how to set up a national association in the field of short sea shipping, drawing a short manual.
She is presently Secretary General of the European Marine Equipment Council and also one of the Industry Members of the Coordination Group of MIF (Maritime Industries Forum): the forum founded with the support of the European Commission, Directorate General of Industry and Enterprise providing a working platform for the maritime custer in Europe.
